About Blue Technologies |
|
HistoryPaul Hanna founded Blue Technologies on July 5, 1995 along with a dedicated owner/management team consisting of Keith Stump, Bill Nelson and David Morrill. Blue Technologies entered the office equipment industry as a customer-focused organization dedicated to providing industry-leading products backed by world-class service.
The company has grown to accommodate its customers. Blue Technologies has advanced in response to changes in technologies and accordingly, the changes in customer needs. Adapting to current trends, the company began incorporating services to provide and manage new digital technologies as part of a new Total Solutions approach. The management team sought to employ MCSE, MCP and CNE professionals as well as Certified Document Imaging Integrators capable of helping customers maximize the use of both new products and evolving technology in the growing digital document imaging and network services area. These successful changes led to an explosion of growth that launched the company to the top 1% of office equipment and service providers in the country. As the company flourished, ways to optimize this growth were developed, beginning with the purchase of its current Cleveland headquarters and Technology Center in 1997. The company also made strong, strategic acquisitions to expand its market. In April 1998, Blue Technologies purchased Edwards Business Systems of Canton, OH to accelerate growth in the Akron/Canton market. The 2003 purchase of Modern Copy Systems also allowed the company to enter the Columbus/Central Ohio marketplace. Blue Technologies now has more than 55,000 sq. ft. of total space in the Cleveland, North Canton and Columbus facilities. Blue Technologies has become a thriving, successful business. The positive changes have led to a dynamic staff of over 155 quality professionals. In recognition of and appreciation for its prosperity, the company is dedicated to contributing to more than 25 local organizations, with special time and attention on those organizations that help underprivileged children. The combination of outstanding service and dedication to the community has earned Blue Technologies many local, regional and national recognition and awards, among which are the Northcoast 99 Top Employers Award from the Employee Resource Council, the Pillar Award for philanthropic accomplishments in 2004 and 2008; as well as, the 2008 CVS Good Samaritan Award. Blue Technologies has also been included on both the Weatherhead 100 list of fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio and Office Dealer Magazine’s list of the 70 Top Office Equipment Suppliers in the United States every year since its inception. And in 2000, Paul Hanna also received Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Business Services. Every year the company has exceeded its quota with its manufacturing partners. Blue Technologies is recognized as the largest Konica Minolta dealer in Ohio and one of the largest in the nation. Blue Technologies attributes it success to dedication to customer service, a vision for growth, and the development of current practical solutions in the ever-changing technology industry. |
